"I spoke with Scott & Daryl at www.oceanextremesports.com today. They took out the 12M Hyper Type in 12kts-15kts yesterday & were blown away. They reported light bar pressure, incredible low end power & great jumps for such light wind. I trust these guys because they sell ALL major brands, even Best. I somehow talked them in to sending me the 12M Hyper Type to demo which i'll get early next week.

I weigh 200lbs and am an advanced kiter. Once i've tried it i'll post my results. I am currently riding Caution Answers but have spent lots & lots of time on the Waroo's, the Insticts and the Crossbows.

All great kites for different reasons. For me persoanlly the Crossbows & the Answers have too much bar pressure and the Waroos & Instincts don't give you enough immediate bar feedback. From what Scott & Daryl described the Hyper Type seems like it offers the best of both worlds but i intend to find out for myself. I will post my findings soon."

well i am just copying whatever i find on the kiteforum and post it . but its not just paul and who ever its actually all reviews that the kite generated are great . so apparently its going to be the kite of year .

Didn't make me feel bad at all, the review I find was saying that the kite is the best aswell !!

I really hope that the H-BOMB will be the kite of the year mate.

Got to ride the 12m RRD Hybrid yesterday... I have been on RRD HIRs for about a year, and you can't pull me off of them. But...this kite may do it. I rode it back to back against my 13m HIR, and as much as I don't want to admit it(because I don't need to be buying new kites anytime soon), I liked the new RRD 12m better. Here is what I liked:
-more power than my 13m...probably the power of a 15m. Everyone else riding with me was on 16m and 17m bows.
-believe it or not, way more lift than my 13m HIR. I was getting good jumps on my HIR, but then when I pulled the trigger on the 12m, I not only went higher, but stayed up longer
-depower: Of course it has more..it is a bow, or hybrid, or whatever you want to call it
-unhooked: Still liked my HIR better here...the 12m needs to be tweaked a bit. I needs more front line tension, and the way I had it setup, it didn't have enough when I unhooked. I believe there is a sliding ball above the chicken loop that you move up for unhooked stuff...I didn't do that..so can't tell...
-bottom turns: a slight lull in power, when doing a bottom turn on a wave...not any more than on my 13m HIR though...
-speed: about the same..not faster not slower than my HIR..So, basically faster than most kites in this size because the RRD's are fast
-water relaunch: grab out side line, pull to ear, it is up
-suicide leash style: if you hook straight to the chicken loop and let go of the bar(miss the pass), the kite does not loose all power and fall straight to the water. If you hook the leash up to the 5th line type of ring..it does kill all the power and drop...

Overall, I need to check the balances on my credit card and think of a good story to tell my wife as to why I may be buying new kites....

By the way, the winds were averaging around 15mph when I started out, and went up to around 19-20mph when I finished

they will be here on the 12th tuesday , and their price will be between 4400 and 4700 Dhs complete. i am only receiving the 12m2 now which is equivilant to 16m2 C-kite.
